It's time to move California beyond plastic
Each year, Americans throw away millions of foam cups and take-out boxes. Too often, these items end up clogging our landfills, littering our communities and polluting our oceans.
Right now in the California Legislature, there is a bill that could help drastically reduce plastic waste in our state by requiring that all packaging and single-use foodware items be made from recyclable or compostable materials by 2030, and that producers ensure their products are recycled at a 75% rate over that same period.
Tell your legislators to support the California Circular Economy and Plastic Pollution Reduction Act today.
