Support the Medical Device Right to Repair Act

Hospitals and other healthcare providers rely on medical equipment to treat and care for patients -- yet hospital repair technicians often have difficulty getting access to the repair information and parts they need from device manufacturers to keep equipment up and running.

These repair restrictions can delay patient procedures by hours, days or months, especially in rural areas, and put patients at risk. Furthermore, relying on manufacturers for repair increases costs that are passed onto the patient. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated this long-standing problem, making Medical Right to Repair more critical than ever. The Medical Device Right to Repair Act, SB 605, would require manufacturers to provide repair parts and information at a fair and reasonable price, improving patient care and decreasing healthcare costs. Tell your state senator to vote yes on this critical bill.
