Tell the governor: Ban plastic produce bags

A lot of pollution comes from single-use plastic that we use for a few minutes and then throw away. One example: Plastic produce bags.

These plastic bags are endemic to nearly every grocery store. And yet they often end up littering our streets, polluting our oceans and harming human health.

That's why CALPIRG supports SB 1046, a new bill that would require produce bags to be made from recyclable or compostable materials. Tell the governor to sign this bill into law.
